
The Paladins have named their football captains for the 2011 season.
According to a release from Furman University, seniors Ryan Steed of Mt. Pleasant, Kadarron Anderson of Greenwood and Daniel Spisak of Charlotte will lead the team.
Steed, a 5-foot-11 All-Southern Conference cornerback from Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and preseason All-America selection, will be serving his second season as team captain.

Steed had 68 tackles and four interceptions last year, two of which were returned for touchdowns.
Anderson is entering his third season as a starter and second campaign as a team captain. The 6-foot-1 All-America performer led Furman and ranked third in the SoCon with 121 tackles a year ago.

Spisak is also entering his third season of starting duty at center for the Paladins. The 6-foot-1, 275-pound Charlotte native has logged 1,316 plays in his career.
The Paladins open their season Sept. 3 at Coastal Carolina.
