GALLERY: Generals Beat Eagles In Money Contest, Football Game

Thousands of people watched Wade Hampton thrash Eastside 43-7 in their annual rivalry game.

The Wade Hampton Generals emerged from this year's rivalry week victorious again, topping the Eastside Eagles both on the football field, and in their charity fundraising contest.

The Generals dominated the football game from the outset, sitting on a 30-7 lead at halftime before cruising to a 43-7 win.

This year's Spirit Week competition benefitted the Meyer Center (Wade Hampton's beneficiary) and Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics (Eastside's beneficiary). Wade Hampton's student body raised $206,000 for the Meyer Center, while Eastside raised $150,000 for FAST. While Eastside didn't top the Generals' total, they did best their fundraising total from last year by some $20,000.
