Gallery: South Carolina One Win Away From World Series Championship

South Carolina District 1 tops Indiana to set up showdown with Puerto Rico in Big League World Series.

In their opening game of the Big League World Series last week, South Carolina District 1 was blanked by a dominant pitching and defensive performance by Indiana, but there would be none of that Tuesday night, as South Carolina punched its ticket to the series championship.

In the last game of U.S. play, South Carolina made an early statement, jumping on the Central region's Indiana team by a score of 6-0 through four innings, and holding on to win 6-2 and advance to the championship game against Puerto Rico.

Trey Hayes got the complete game win for South Carolina.
