Greenville Deputies Investigating A Third Police Impersonation Case

Deputies said this one happened around 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday in Greer.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is investigating another possible police impersonation incident.

Deputies said around 4:45 p.m. in the area of Phillips Road and Gibbs Shoals Road in Greer, a victim said she was passed by a black in color SUV, possibly a GMC Envoy. The victim told deputies that the vehicle turned around and came up behind her and activated blue lights and a siren.

The victim told deputies that the blue lights appeared to be coming from the interior of the vehicle. She said that she attempted to call law enforcement to verify the traffic stop before she pulled over. As she was doing so, the vehicle turned around.

Deputies are not sure if this incident is related to any other incidents currently under investigation.

Reports were taken on Friday and Monday regarding to . Spartanburg County also has had two similar incidents reported.
