Greenville Deputies Investigating Series of Car Break-Ins
Deputies are working several cases involving auto break-ins at schools or daycares in the area, while parents are picking their children up.

Greenville County Sheriff's Deputies said they are investigating a series car break-ins occurring at schools and daycares in the area.
Deputies said that they are working several cases where purses, pocketbooks, wallets and other valuables have been taken from the cars, while the unsuspecting parents are picking up or dropping off their children.
Recent incidents under investigation have occurred at Four Winds Child Development and Academy at 1300 Boiling Springs Road in Greer, near Brushy Creek Elementary at 1389 Brushy Creek Road in Taylors, and Kids R Kids, 125 Verdin Road, Greenville.

Deputies warn that leaving these items in plain sight in vehicles, gives thieves access to the victim’s checks, credit cards, driver’s license, which they can then utilize for monetary gain.

- Leave your social security card, birth certificate, etc. at home unless you need it.
- If you have to leave your purse or wallet in your vehicle lock them in your trunk before you leave home.
- If your information is stolen contact your financial institution and law enforcement immediately. The number for Sheriff’s Office dispatch is 271-5210.
