September 1:  Victoria Humphries Day at the Waterparks
The Greenville County Sheriff's Office and the Humphries family are launching a new program called the Guard Your Life Challenge to promote safe driving.  The Sheriff's Office will have interactive displays on hand including a helicopter and their mobile command vehicle.  A portion of all waterpark and Westside Aquatic admissions will help support this effort.  Click here for more information.

September 15: Touch a Truck at Westside Park 

This popular free family event is fun and educational. The kids can explore, hands-on, vehicles of all kinds ranging from dump trucks to front end loaders. Visitors also may want to bring their swim suits and check out the Fun Zone at Westside Aquatic Complex during their visit.

September 29:  National Public Lands Day Volunteer Project
The Greater Greenville Parks Foundation is hosting a volunteer project at Gateway Park in Travelers Rest to celebrate National Public Lands Day from 9:00am - 1:00pm.  Projects include preparing the park for a new mountain bike skills trail, mulching, painting, and more.  Lunch will be provided along with Park Heroes t-shirts and other prizes.
