Greenville to Host Greer Tonight in Playoffs
Greenville will play host 7 p.m. Thursday to Greer in the second game of the series, moved back to Wade Hampton because Stevens Field is not available.

Greer Post 115 and Greenville Post 3 played only two innings Wednesday night at Stevens Field before being washed out by rain, but that was enough to at least finish the first game of their best-of-three series in the opening round of the American Legion baseball playoffs.
The Greenville Generals completed a 6-0 win that was suspended Tuesday in the seventh inning at Wade Hampton High School. They were unable to start the second game as scheduled because of another thunderstorm that interrupted play

The third game on Friday and fourth on Saturday, if necessary, will be played in Greer.
Kyle Van Hoff, who is from Eastside High School and has signed to play at Erskine College, pitched seven scoreless innings against Greer on Tuesday.
Greenville scored four runs in the fourth inning to take a 5-0 lead.
Brandon Barber and Ryan Mason, two other Eastside players headed for Erskine, started with back-to-back doubles and Will Robertson had a run-scoring single. Van Hoff then added a two-run single to give Greenville a five-run lead.
