Greer Council Approves 4 Property Annexations
Council also discussed upcoming expiration of several board appointments that the city will need to make.

Greer City Council approved the requests for four property annexations in the City of Greer, as well as discussed appointments that need to be made by council as the result of term expiration.
Actions taken during the meeting:
- Second and final reading of Annexation Ordinance Number 13-2013 (Westmoreland Road) — Property is owned by Dillard Creek LLC and would be established for residential housing. A motion to accept was made by Jay Arrowood and seconded by Kimberly Bookert passed, 6-0.
- Second and final reading of Annexation Ordinance Number 16-2013 (East Suber Road) — This property would be rezoned and classified as residential, single-family cluster. A motion to accept made by Judy Albert and seconded by Kimberly Bookert passed, 6-0.
- Second and final reading of Annexation Ordinance Number 17-2013 (East Suber Road) — The property at 741 E. Suber Road to be reclassified as residential, single-family cluster. A motion to accept made by Judy Albert and seconded by Kimberly Bookert passed, 6-0.
- Second and final reading of Annexation Ordinance Number 18-2013 (Willow Creek) — Owners of 1705 Abner Creek Road requesting new zoning classification of residential, single-family cluster. A motion to accept made by Wryley Bettis and seconded by Lee Dumas passed 6-0.
- In new business, council was asked to consider a new zoning classification by the owners of 95 Old Woodruff Road. The owners are requesting a zoning classification of C-2, Commercial, for 0.22 acres, with the purpose to use for a restaurant. A public hearing was held last week and no one spoke against the use of the property. A motion to accept made by Wryley Bettis and seconded by Lee Dumas passed 6-0.

- Airport Environs Planning Commission — Dewey Tarwater's term expires June 30.
- Board of Architectural Review — David Langley's term expires June 30.
- Municipal Judge Appointment — Judge Henry "Hank" Mims term expires June 30.
- Planning Commission — District 2 Judy O. Jones's term, District 3 Morris Burton's term, and District 6 Brian Martin's term all expire June 30.
During executive session, Council considered one economic development matter and one contractual matter. No action was taken.
