Greer Council To Hold Public Hearing on Wrecker Service
Greer Police Department is asking to suspend Upstate Wrecker Service from the city's wrecker rotation.

A public hearing at Tuesday's Greer City Council meeting may decide if an area wrecker service is permanently removed from the city's wrecker rotation.
On April 1, Upstate Wrecker Service was suspended from the city's wrecker rotation, a list of area tow services called by police to remove vehicles involved in wrecks, seized in police investigations or deemed illegally parked.
Greer police said that UWS was suspended due to complaints from customers that the company did not adhere to the city's policy on towing fees and had charged more for towing, storage and mileage. The suspension ended April 15.
