GCSO: Greer Man Charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine

GCSO deputies said they found evidence of a meth lab in a Greer home.

A Greer man faces felony drug charges after Greenville County Sheriff's deputies said they found evidence of a meth lab at his Cogin Drive residence, a report said.

On Wednesday, GCSO Vice and Narcotics investigators responded to 944 Cogin Drive in reference to information regarding a meth lab that had been obtained from a lawful traffic stop, Master Deputy Jonathan Smith said.

Investigators were able to obtain a search warrant for the property and said they found items throughout the property that are used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, Smith said.

Arrested were Shannon D. Colley, 40, of 944 Cogin Drive, and Willis Anthony Davidson, Jr., 53, of 950 Cogin Drive. Colley was charged with manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine, and disposal or assisting disposal of methamphetamine waste. Both are first offenses, Smith said.

Meantime, Davidson was also charged in this case with possession of less than one gram of meth, or cocaine base, Smith said.

Colley remained in the county detention center Thursday on a $20,000 bond. Davidson remained in jail on $3,000 bond.
