A Greer Police officer has been placed on suspension after a fight at a Spartanburg night club. According to WSPA, Charles "Jamie" Smith, 24, of Boiling Springs was arrested Tuesday by Spartanburg Safety, along with several others, after a fight broke out on Main Street in Spartanburg. <a href="http://www2.wspa.com/news/2013/jan/02/greer-officer-suspended-after-new-years-arrest-ar-5283792/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">According to the article,</a> the fight started when employees of a bar were trying to close. According to the Spartanburg County Jail, Smith is charged with public disorderly conduct and trespassing after notice. He was released Wednesday on a $1,464 bond.
