Have A 'Blast' At Greer's Independence Day Festival
Freedom Blast event will be held at Greer City Park.

If you're looking for a nearby event to celebrate Independence Day, it may be worth your while to check out this year's Greer Memorial Hospital Freedom Blast, which will be held on June 30 at Greer City Park.
The annual celebration will begin at 5 p.m. and will be capped off by a fireworks display at 10 p.m., according to the City of Greer's web site.
“For many Upstate families, Greer Memorial Hospital Freedom Blast is a ‘must-attend’ event every year to celebrate our nation’s independence and to honor the men and women who protect our freedom,” Greer City Administrator Ed Driggers said. “It’s an event that visitors tell us is fun, entertaining, and inspiring. With the addition of a mobile website to this year’s festival, guests will find it even more engaging.”
Greer Memorial Hospital is sponsoring the event, which will offer food and drinking options, musical acts and a variety of other entertainment.
Activities for all ages will begin at 5 p.m., June 30. Access to the children's area, which features inflatable attractions, will available for $5.
