Help Greer Police ID GameStop Armed Robbery Suspect
Police said the suspect, armed with a knife, demanded money from registers before fleeing the scene.
Greer police need your help to identify the suspect in an armed robbery at GameStop Thursday.
Police were called to the store's location at 14039 E. Wade Hampton about 7:25 p.m.
According to the incident report, the suspect had asked about what games the store would take as trade. A few minutes later, he approached the sales counter and demanded money in the register. A store employee said that the man had a knife in his pocket and that while he was getting the money out of the cash drawer, he heard the man opening it behind his back.

The report said the employee handed the man money from the first register, but he said it wasn't enough and needed more. The employee opened up the next register, handing over its contents to the suspect. The man then fled the scene.
Store employees told police that the man is around 5-feet 8-inches tall, about 160 pounds with medium-length brown and gray hair. Employees said the man is about 35 to 40 years old.

Greer police were able to obtain the attached surveillance images. They also talked to a store manager at Walmart and were able to determine through surveillance video that the man left in an older-model Chevrolet S-10 pickup, possibly green or greenish-blue in color, according to the report.
