Helping Local Schools Only a Mouse Click Away
Target is giving away up to $10,000 per school in gift cards for supplies, and all you have to do to help out is vote for your school online
As budgets have tightened up all over the country schools are faced with ever more challenges, but wants to lend a hand.
The company has created "Give With Target" a program that is part of the retailer's goal to give $1 billion for education by 2015.
From now until Saturday, Sept. 8, or until Target has given out $2.5 million in gift cards to schools (whichever comes first), people can vote for their school of choice through the Give With Target Facebook app. For every 25 votes a school receives, Target awards that school a $25 gift card, up to a total of $10,000 in gift cards per school.

A search bar on the site allows users to find schools by name or location, and 25 public and private schools in the Taylors-Wade Hampton area are included in Target's list. Everyone can vote for one school per week, so if you start today you can cast as many as four votes for your school by the time the promotion ends.
