Hincapie Brothers Buy Upstate Home For New Project
George and Rich Hincapie purchased the La Bastide property, formerly part of the Cliffs Community.

Rich Hincapie and his brother George, the former Tour De France athlete, have purchased a property in Travelers Rest in hopes of developing a training facility for bicyclists, WYFF is reporting.
La Bastide, the inn that was formerly part of the Cliffs Community before the community folded, will now be turned into a resort-style facility where athletes can stay overnight at the inn and train at the facility that will be developed there.
The Hincapies are in talks with Greenville County in getting the popular Swamp Rabbit Trail to extend to the facility, which is at 10 Road of Vines in Travelers Rest. The inn and restaurant was purchased by the Cliffs Community empire in 2001, and was closed and sold by 2011.
