Great Scot! Parade: Truly unique event held in downtown Greenville beginning at 6 p.m., followed by Celtic music at the TD Amphitheater.

Aloft: The new and improved version of Freedom Weekend Aloft launches Friday and runs through Monday at Heritage Park in Simpsonville. There's more than balloons this year! Check out their schedule of events.
Waterparks opening: Greenville Recreation District will open all waterparks in Greenville County for the Memorial Day weekend. Read more here.

Community Cleanup in Taylors: Volunteers are needed Saturday to help cleanup Taylors. Volunteers will focus on Reid School Road and Edwards Mills Road. If you can help, meet at 9 a.m. at Taylors Elementary School.
Scottish Games: Scotland comes to Greenville! 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Furman University. Pipes & Drum competitions and more.
Plum Hollow Festival: Alternative Bluegrass Music Festival. The fun started Thursday, but runs throughout the weekend. See their website for complete details. And, it's pretty much a guarantee that you'll see a few stars from "Moonshiners" at this festival.
Take Flight 5K: This run will help build a new playground at Greenville Municipal Airport. Race starts at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. See details.
Greer Senior Expo: To be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Praise Cathedral. Seniors and their families can learn about local organizations that can help aging residents of the area.
Pizza Inn of Greer's Tornado Relief Effort: The local pizzeria will donate 10 percent of their sales Saturday through Monday to the American Red Cross. Check out their Facebook page for more details.
