Lifelong Learning Courses Offered at Furman

Registration has now begun for Furman University's OLLI program

Registration is underway for more than 100 courses and events offered by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Furman University. OLLI at Furman encourages senior adults in the community to maintain mind and body health through participation in the OLLI program.

The winter 2012 term runs January 9 through March 2 with all courses held during weekdays. Registration will remain open through the first week of classes.

OLLI annual membership is $35, and each class is $50. Course packages and scholarships are available.

Some of the classes offered this term include: Islam: The Faith, the People and their Politics; Alternative Fuels Workshop; Highlights of the History of Medicine; The Incas: Empire and Mystery; Shakespeare with Dr. John Crabtree; Digital Photography; A Christian View of Sexual Ethics; Savvy Sustainability; Forgotten Women in Music; Watercolors with Ashley Kirby; Fun with Mac, and more. Classes are taught by current and former Furman professors and volunteers from the Greenville community.
