Lucas Glover Shoots Best PGA Score

Former Clemson All-American and three time All-American at Wade Hampton High School, Glover shot nine under par at Friday's John Deere Classic in Silvis, Ill.

Former Clemson All-American Lucas Glover shot a nine-under-par 62 Friday at John Deere Classic in Silvis, Ill.

Glover, a former high school All-American at Wade Hampton, currently is tied for the lead after two rounds. Friday also marked his career best round on the PGA Tour and tied for the best round by any former Clemson golfer, according to Clemson's Sports Information office.

Glover had nine birdies and nine pars in recording his 62, one shot better than his previous best. He is tied for the lead after 36 holes with Zach Johnson and Patrick Reed. Johnson and Reed are at 12 under par.
