Magazine Ranks Upstate Businesses Among Fastest Growing
Thirteen Upstate businesses were ranked by Inc. Magazine as among the 5,000 fastest growing companies in entire country.
The Upstate's status a major business center for South Carolina was evidenced by Inc. Magazine's recently released "Inc. 5,000" list, which takes multiple factors about the companies into consideration to rank the fastest-growing businesses in the nation.
Greenville, Spartanburg and Simpsonville all had businesses on the list. The highest ranked company was Wireless Communications of Greenville, which is an exclusive Verizon Wireless Premium Retailer that owns and operates 32 retail locations throughout South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky and West Virginia. Wireless Communications came in at the No. 25 fastest-growing company in the nation, and the No. 2 fastest-growing retailer.
The list takes into consideration each company's three-year growth percentage and increase in revenue and jobs over the past three years. Thirteen businesses from the Upstate made the list. They include:
