Meals on Wheels of Greenville asking supporters to "Share the Love."

Meals on Wheels of Greenville is partnering with Fairway Subaru to compete in Meals on Wheels Association of America (MOWAA)’s “Most Meals” contest as part of Subaru of America, Inc.’s “Share the Love” holiday event.

MOWAA plans to award $150,000 in “Most Meals” grants to Meals on Wheels programs throughout the country that recruit dealership employees to volunteer, deliver meals in Subaru vehicles, and engage community members in the fight to end senior hunger.

Through Jan. 3, community members are invited to “Stuff the Trunk” of a 2012 Subaru Outback at Fairway Subaru, located at 2209 Laurens Road, to help provide items, such as pet food, Ensure, Boost, Depends and sugar-free candy to Meals on Wheels clients.

“We are so excited to partner with Fairway Subaru again this year to help raise awareness and donations for our homebound neighbors in need,” says Liz Seman, Meals on Wheels Executive Director. “Fairway Subaru employees have been a wonderful corporate route partner, and are able to see firsthand those who benefit from Subaru’s Share the Love campaign.”

The “Most Meals” contest is tied to Subaru’s “Share the Love” event, which will run until Jan. 3 Subaru will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased to the customer’s choice of one of five charities, including MOWAA.
