Need to do Some Last-Minute Grocery Shopping on Thanksgiving Day?

We've got the scoop on what stores are open.

It's Thanksgiving morning and you've just realized you've forgotten the cheddar for that all-important macaroni and cheese.

I'm sure by the time you arrive at the store you will have remember a couple of other things you didn't think about: paper plates, that extra can of Cranberry sauce and don't forget the Ziploc bags and tinfoil to wrap up all those yummy leftovers.

Here are a few stores where you can pick up those last-minute items on Thanksgiving:

  • stores will close at 7 p.m.
  • stores will be open from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.
  • Family Dollar stores will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • Food Lion stores will close at 3 p.m.
  • stores will be open from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m.
  • stores will be open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., except for their 24-hours store, which will keep regular hours.
  • stores will be open normal business hours, but check your area store before you head out.
  • Whole Foods will be open from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.


These stores will be closed: Aldi, Earth Fare, The Fresh Market, Publix and Trader Joe's.
