New BMW Model to be Built in Greer
The new X4 will join other models being produced at BMW's Upstate plant.

The X4, a new crossover model from BMW, will be built at the company's Greer plant, the automotive news website Left Lane reported.
To build the X4 in South Carolina, BMW will reportedly expand the plant's capacity by about 50,000 units to 350,000, according to BMW board member for marketing and sales Ian Robertson. BMW builds the bulk of its X3, X5 and X6 models in the Upstate for both North American and global markets.
BMW is expected to debut the new vehicle as a concept car, perhaps as soon as meth month's Shanghai Motor Show, the website reported.
