New Health Studio Now Open In Taylors
New business offers an alternative for those seeking physical wellness.

A new state-of-the-art studio in Taylors is offering a relatively new kind of fitness regimen geared at those who have struggled with traditional workouts or who have physical limitations.
Goga Studios is now open at 2801 Wade Hampton Boulevard in Taylors near the .
Goga implements Whole Body Vibration Technology (WBV) an increasingly popular method frequently used in physical therapy and rehabilitation. Katie White, studio manager at the Taylors Goga, said the studio's WBV machines use vibrations to generate blood flow and stimulate muscles.

When a person stands on an oscillating vibration platform, vertical vibrations, with side-alternating rocking movement, similar to walking, are produced, White said.
Depending on the speed, muscles will react up to 23 times per second as they begin to involuntarily contract during the session.

"This clever technology means you can work against a far greater influence or 'load' of gravity in every movement you perform," White said.
