NTSB Report: Upstate Pilot Reported Engine Stopped Before Crash
According to a new report released, federal investigators said the pilot reported a loss of oil pressure and then that his engine had stopped. The plane crashed a short time later.

A new report on a fatal airplane crash that killed two Upstate men says the pilot reported a loss of oil pressure and that his engine had stopped.
Authorities said 71-year-old Julius Gilreath of Greenville and 58-year-old Anthony Cabeza of Greer were killed when the Piper PA-32 crashed Memorial Day.
The Associated Press says that according to the report, the pilot asked air traffic control for permission to land at Macon's airport, then communicated that his engine had stopped. The pilot then requested to land at Robins Air Force Base, but the report said he never established contact and crashed shortly afterwards.
