Our dear mother, Augusta A. Bailey, peacefully went to be with her heavenly father on February 28, 2013 after a brief illness.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Knox county TN, the daughter of the late David and Arizona Lay. Gussie worked as a hair dresser for many years in the Greenville Area. She was an avid golfer, bridge player, and square dancer. She was a member of the Lady's Golf association at Pebble Creek Country Club, The Pioneers Square Dance Club, and Taylors First Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughters Sharon Bailey Kline (Ben) of Taylors, and Sheila Bailey Lucas (Larry) of Seguin TX; Three Grand children, John R. Monroe (Thai) of Chatanooga TN, Amy Leigh Phillips (Reggie) of Stallings NC, and Kimberly Ann Laboissonniere (Ryan) of Greenville; 8 Great grand Children; and a sister Mary Hoppe of Orange CA.
Pre deceased were her husband Frank (Beetle) Bailey; Parents; one brother and three sisters.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 3:30-4:30pm on Monday March 11, 2013 in the chapel @ Taylors First Baptist Church, Taylors SC. A Memorial Service will Follow at 4:30 in the Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Taylors Free Clinic, or Meals on Wheels.
