Obituary: Ed Taylor of Greer
Graveside services for the WWII veteran and businessman will be held Wednesday at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Gary Edward Taylor, 94, of 234 Sheffield Road, widower of Nola Seawright Taylor, died February 24, 2013 at his home.
A native of Greenville County, son of the late Green L. and Maude Satterfield Taylor, he was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII where he served 4 years in the Pacific Theater, co-owner of Seta Packaging, and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Greer.
Surviving are his step-daughter, Caroline Alley of Brentwood, Tennessee; step-son, Michael S. Davis of Roebuck; a sister, Mary Arthur of Columbus, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Michael Alley of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Meg Evans of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Wayne Cole.
The family is at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 100 School Street, Greer, SC 29651.
