Passenger, Cargo Traffic Up At GSP International

Latest report shows yearlong upturn in traffic.

The latest report of passenger and cargo traffic at GSP International Airport shows growth over the past year.

The airport’s latest monthly traffic count shows 123,291 passengers in January, representing a 3.5 percent drop compared with January 2012, but an overall 3.2 percent increase over the preceding 12 months, according to a report by GSA Business.

The airport had 1.85 million passengers in the 12 months through January, compared with 1.79 million arrivals and departures in the preceding 12 months.

Meanwhile, the 4.59 million pounds of cargo in January compares with 4.12 million pounds in January 2012, continuing a 3.2 percent upturn in the preceding 12 months, the paper reported. The airport had 58 million pounds since the start of 2012, compared with 56.1 million in the preceding 12 months.
