Paul Ryan, Family Arrive for Friday Fundraiser in Greenville

The Republican vice presidential candidate waved to the media and then ducked into a dark SUV to leave Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport Thursday night.

Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan and his family arrived in the Upstate Thursday.

Ryan arrived just after 8:30 p.m. at Stevens Aviation, on the grounds of the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport.

Ryan, accompanied by his wife, Janna and children Liza, 10, Charles, 8, and Sam, 7, waved to the members of the media from the staircase as they left the plane, before ducking into a black SUV. The Ryans were escorted off the grounds in a 10-vehicle caravan.

Ryan will attend a fundraiser at the home of Greenville developer Phil Hughes.

The admission price will be $1,000. However, those paying $5,000 will get the chance to have their picture taken with Ryan.
