Pharmacy Robbed by Phone, Oxycodone Demanded
According to the incident report, the man told an employee of the pharmacy that he was going through oxycodone withdrawal and that he had a gun.

Greer police are investigating a robbery at Walgreens at 101 W. Wade Hampton Blvd., Greer, after a man called in and robbed the pharmacy of oxycodone.
According to the incident report, a woman working in the pharmacy said that a man called and told her that he was "going through oxycodone withdrawal" and that he had a gun.
The man on the phone could see inside the pharmacy as he instructed the woman not to tell a co-worker who was standing behind her.

The report said the man demanded that she placed all the oxycodone in a plastic bag and place the bag in the drive-thru bin. The woman did as she was instructed, according to the report.
After the medication was placed in the drive-thru, the co-worker who had overheard the conversation, call 911. As she was talking to 911, she saw a young, white male, dressed in black and wearing a wool cap run by and grab the bag.

A K-9 unit was called to the scene, but was unable to pick up a scent.
