Police Called on Beer-Drinking, Tree-Climbing Man
The man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and could face a charge for littering.

Sitting in a tree and drinking beer can be relaxing. At least that's what one Upstate man told police.
Greer police were called to Oakland Place Apartments April 10 because a man had climbed a tree nearby and was littering the grounds of the apartments with beer cans, according to the incident report.
When police arrived, the man had already left his perch. A short time later, police were able to speak to the man at a home nearby. According to the police report, the man said he had just been in a tree because it was a relaxing thing to do and he was drinking some beers.

When officers asked if he had been throwing the beer cans onto Oakland Place Apartment's property, he said that he had been throwing them in his yard, the report said.
The man went into his home to get his driver's license. When police entered the residence, they found a pipe used to smoke marijuana, according to the report. Police also found four 12-oz. Steel Reserve High Gravity Lager cans on the property of Oakland Place Apartments.
