Update: Arrest Made After Meth Lab Found In Taylors

Investigators arrest Christopher Eric Scott for manufacturing methamphetamine.

UPDATED 8:32 P.M. 

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that a non-active meth lab had been discovered in the toilet of a public bathroom at the Walgreen's pharmacy on Wade Hampton Boulevard, and that the person responsible had been arrested.

Christopher Eric Scott, 37, was taken into custody and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and disposal of methamphetamine waste. He's currently being held at Greenville County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

"The investigators on scene advised that at no time was the public inside the store or the surrounding area at risk of harm or exposure," said Laura Campbell, public information officer for the GCSO.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is on the scene of a possible meth lab in Taylors. 

At 4:22 p.m., the GCSO was dispatched to the Walgreens pharmacy at  2700 Wade Hampton Boulevard in reference to a report of a suspicious male in the restroom there. 

Deputies arrived on scene and discovered a possible meth lab in the restroom, and immediately contacted the GCSO's narcotics and meth lab units to investigate further.

Laura Campbell, public information officer for the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, said no information is currently available about the suspect.
