Protestors Fight For Better Wages for Disabled Employees
Protestors demonstrated outside a Goodwill Industries store

Roughly a dozen protesters gathered outside a Goodwill Industries store on West Blue Ridge Drive in Greenville County on Saturday to voice their opposition to what they call unfair compensation to workers with disabilities, WYFF reports.
The protesters, some of whom are members of the National Federation of the Blind, were protesting to draw attention to a section of the Fair Labor Standards Act that allows employers who hold special certificates to pay workers with disabilities below minimum wage.
The protest came after the NFB learned about what Goodwill was paying its employees through a request through the Freedom of Information Act.
