In the battle of the barbeque, Digger's BBQ Express fans showed up in a big way to support their favorite BBQ joint.
In this week's Readers' Choice contest, Taylors-Wade Hampton Patch asked its readers to choose the best spot for barbeque, and the local BBQ fans spoke loud and clear.
, located on Wade Hampton Boulevard, won this week's contest with an overwhelming 77 percent of the vote, besting , which sits roughly two miles down Wade Hampton Boulevard from its competitor.
Digger's, which offers a drive-through for easy pick-up, has a variety of sauces (mustard, vinegar and tomato) to please even the pickiest barbeque tastes.

This week's contest drew some fun ribbing from supporters of the contestants.
"Comparing Diggers and Dickey's? There is no comparison," Ashley commented. "Digger's is by far the best BBQ in town. The great service even adds to it.
