Recycling Company Offering Rewards In Taylors

Collecting sites in Taylors will send difficult-to-recycle waste to company for processing.

A leading recycling business is providing its services in Taylors, just in time for the school year.

TerraCycle collects difficult-to-recycle products and packaging such as Frito-Lay chip bags, Kraft Singles wrappers, Solo cups and Old Navy flip-flops, among other items.

Anyone in Taylors can send in their used products and packaging to be upcycled and recycled through TerraCycle’s Brigade programs.  For every piece of packaging TerraCycle receives, participants are awarded with two points, which can be put toward buying a specific charity gift, or converted to money and donated to a charity of the participant’s choice such as a local school, community organization or national charity.

In the Taylors area, Tigerville Elementary School and the Faith Baptist Church of Taylors both collect non-recyclable waste and send it to TerraCycle.

You can sign up for a Brigade by visiting www.terracycle.com and choosing one or more of the approximately 50 waste streams TerraCycle accepts.  Once the sign-up process is complete, use any box or bin and when full, print and affix the postage-paid label and ship to TerraCycle.
