Sales of BMW's Produced in Greer Up 40 Percent

March sales in the U.S. for BMW ran 11.2 percent higher than a year ago.

The BMW Group in the U.S. reported the company's best-performing vehicles in terms of sales were the X3, X5 and X6, produced at BMW Manufacturing in Greer. The sales were up by 40 percent for the vehicles in March, the auto manufacturer said in a press release.

The company said U.S. dealers sold 7,317 SAVs in March, compared with 5,225 for the same month in 2012.

The company reported that U.S. dealers had sold 33,149 vehicles in March, compared to 29,806 vehicles sold in the same month a year ago.
