Sargent Foundation Donates $10,000 to Greer Middle College Charter High

Money will go toward athletic department.

A Greenville-area nonprofit that has provided money to local projects
for more than 50 years recently presented a check for $10,000 to Bill Roach, principal and executive director of Greer Middle College last week.

"This money will be used to benefit the athletic program at GMC", said Roach.  "The Sargent Foundation’s commitment to academic excellence and the success of charter schools is exciting. They continue to be one of our faithful supporters in the community."

Greer Middle College is made up of 368 students, grades 9-12, and will graduate its first senior class this year.  In addition to a rigorous academic program, students are required to complete 50 hours of community service each year.  For more information, visit www.greermiddlecollege.org.
