School Bulletin: Greer High School

Here are the latest announcements from Greer High School.

- Greer High School’s Homecoming Week (Oct. 3-7) will be filled with exciting class competitions. Monday is “Banner Day” and Tuesday is “Hat Day." The highlight of the week is the Homecoming Parade that will showcase class floats. The parade in Downtown Greer begins at 4:15 p.m. on Oct. 6.

- Order your Herff Jones, Inc. class rings on Tuesday, Oct. 4.  Down payments start at $60. Students may order during lunch in the front lobby.  Parent Night is from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3 in the front lobby. Any senior who has not ordered their class ring may do so at this time.

- College Application Day is Oct. 5 and 140 seniors have signed up to participate. College admissions representatives from Furman, North Greenville, USC Upstate, Lander, Converse, Greenville Tech and many other schools will be on site to assist students with the online college application process. All transcript request fees will be waived for students participating in the event. Also, participating students will have the chance to win door prizes from businesses such as The Clock Restaurant and Lady Bugs in Greer and apparel from the participating colleges.

- Greer High SIC will meet in the Alumni Room at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11.

- Senior ad information is being mailed home to senior parents. Ads are due in the front office by 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 28.

- Congratulations to coaches Jeff Neely and Linda Sandusky for being selected by the South Carolina Coaches Association as coaches of the North/South All Star Teams for 2011/2012 School Year. Sandusky will be the assistant coach on the North Girls Tennis Team and Neely will be the head basketball coach for the 2011-2012 North Boys Team.
