School Bulletin: Tigerville Elementary School
Here are the latest announcements for Tigerville Elementary School in Taylors.
- The first PTA Skate Night will be held on Thursday, Oct. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roller Sports in Taylors.
- The Tigerville Student Council recently held a Friday Hat Day to raise money for a Tigerville student's medical expenses. On that Friday, the school of 291 students raised over $500.
- Last week, firefighters from the Tigerville Fire Department visited all of the classrooms at Tigerville to share important tips on fire safety.
- Recently, the fourth grade students traveled to the Peace Center to watch the play "We the People."
- Tigerville recently participated in Read for the Record. Diane Jackson, principal of Tigerville, read the book Llama, Llama, Red Pajama and the entire school wore pajamas.
- Red Ribbon Week continues for the remainder of next week. Thursday students and staff will wear exercise clothes to recognize that "Living Drug Free is No Sweat." On Friday, parents and family members are invited to a Lunch and Learn with Greenville Family Partnership. Contact Cheri Orozco at 355-4604 for additional information.

- Report cards for the 1st quarter will go home with students on Monday, Oct. 31.
- 4K students recently traveled to Fisher's Orchard to pick apples and enjoy a picnic lunch.
