Now that autumn is here and the weather has finally cooled down, Claire Blouir’s class at Washington Center has been busy with a fall unit. Students have been learning about apples, squirrels and leaves.
The students enjoyed many stories and counting activities on the Promethean Board. The class also had fun cooking an apple oatmeal crumb cake, using a switch-adapted mixer and Step by Step to communicate the recipe instructions.
Paraprofessionals Rhonda Dreher, Kevin McCrary, Tracy Durham and Joyce Ford helped the students complete several fall related art projects.
