Most of us have seen or heard of the growing Christmas tradition known as "Elf On The Shelf." 

The tradition, which entails creatively placing one of Santa's little helpers in different positions in your home to get a chuckle out of your children, has continued to grow in popularity. 

The elf doll is accompanied by a book explaining to children that the elf they see is there to report back to Santa Claus whether he or she is being naughty or nice.
