New industrial park will be located near Greer's inland port under construction.

Greer's inland port won't be open for business for at least six more months, but the site is already spurring additional spurring development in the area.
According to a report by GSA Business, initial site preparation has begun at Velocity Park, a 131-acre industrial park located near the site of the inland port, which is scheduled to open Sept. 1.
is zoned industrial and its four parcels are designed for build-to-suit and leasing. Developers envision industrial companies, logistics companies and data centers building operations there, the paper reported.
“Certainly with the inland port being a stone’s throw away, the park is generating a lot of interest,” Doug Webster, CBRE-The Furman Co.’s global corporate services director, told the newspaper. “It’s a very viable option for people wanting to be near the inland port.”
Velocity Park is along Victor Hill Road, directly behind BMW’s Performance Center in Greer. One tract sits on the corner of Highway 101 and the Norfolk Southern rail line.
