Speak Out: Were Jack Taylor's 138 Points Too Many?

That same year, Rio Grande's Bevo Francis set an NCAA scoring record with 113 points against Hillsdale. 

In the past 60 years, no other NCAA basketball player had scored more than 100 points in a game.

Until Tuesday.

Jack Taylor, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound sophomore at Division III Grinnell, scored 138 points Tuesday night.

He made 27 of 71 3-point attempts, was 52 of 108 overall from the field and added seven free throws on 10 attempts in 36 minutes.
