Summer Jobs Available At Greenville Rec

The Greenville Recreation District, headquartered on Old Spartanburg Road in Taylors, is offering hundreds of seasonal positions.

The Greenville Rec is hiring summer help to staff for seasonal operations.

Stacey Bechtold, human resources manager at the Greenville Recreation District, said that the rec generally hires around 400 people for summer seasonal facilities.

"Most of these are aquatic positions — life guards, admission staff, etc. — at our four aquatic positions: Discovery Island Waterpark, Otter Creek Waterpark, 7th Inning Splash Waterpark and our new state-of-the-art indoor Westside Aquatic Complex," Bechtold said.

"We normally have a very enthusiastic response to our summer positions, usually fielding around 1,000 applications for our summer positions," said Bechtold. "Generally, we post our summer positions in mid-December, and, of course, it's usually better to get your application in as soon as possible."

Those interested in season employment there can view the positions and qualifications at the Greenville Recreation District's website.

"Our seasonal staff are a critical component to our summer operations and, at the same time, these positions provide an incredible and unique employment experience for so many."
