Taylors Man Accused Of Stealing From Company

Man accused of stealing from work site.

The executive of a company that was to open a solar panel plant in Cherokee County stole aluminum from the site and sold it for scrap, investigators say.

According to multiple media outlets, including WYFF4, Christopher Jones, the CEO of Global Energy Franchise, took aluminum products from the company's building and sold them to a scrap yard. Authorities say the total value of the pieces is roughly $17,000. Jones is charged with grand larceny.

The plant's operations were announced late last year.
