Wayne Gary's threat prompted an evacuation at the summary court in Taylors.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office arrested a 35-year-old Taylors man Thursday after he threatened to detonate a bomb near the summary court in Taylors on Wade Hampton Boulevard.

Master Deputy Jennings Autrey said that at around 2:30 p.m., Wayne Gary called in a threat to the summary court, saying there was a bomb in the parking lot that was set to explode.

The threat prompted an evacuation of all personnel and those scheduled to appear from the building. Greenville County Sheriff's Office personnel, including a K-9 unit, were dispatched to the area. Deputies found that there were no explosives, and that the threat was false.
