Christopher McCall, 27, pleaded guilty July 10.

A Travelers Rest motel clerk has been sentenced to 15 years for assault with intent to commit criminal sexual battery in the first degree, kidnapping, and assault and battery in the first degree.
Christopher McCall, 27, pleaded guilty July 10.
Evidence presented at the hearing established that McCall was working as the front desk attendant at the Hampton Inn on Roe Center Court in Travelers Rest on May 28, 2012, when the victim checked in.
According to information released by the 13th Circuit Solicitor's Office, shortly after the victim entered her room, she heard a key being inserted into the door lock to her room. She then heard a knock at the door and looked through the peephole to see the clerk, McCall, and another man, Christopher Debusk, that she had seen behind the front desk with McCall when she checked in.
The victim told authorities that she had opened the door and that McCall told her that a "maintenance check" need to be completed in her room.
The female victim waited in the hallway. According to a news release, the men were acting strangely and the victim said McCall lunged forward grabbed the victim around her body and tried to pull her into the room.
The victim was able to break free and ran screaming down the hall alerting other guests to call 911.
McCall fled the scene, according to evidence presented in court, and was brought back to the scene by his pastor. McCall told police that he was addicted to pornography and that he had gone to the victim's room intending to act out his fantasies.
McCall will not be eligible for parole and will be required to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence.
