Trial Begins In Slaying Of Taylors Couple
Homer and JoAnn Staton were beaten to death in 2009.

One of the men suspected of beating a Taylors couple to death more than two years ago will put his fate in the hands of an Anderson County jury this week as he is put on trial for murder.
Matthew Fullbright was arrested by the Anderson County Sheriff's Office after he allegedly lured Homer and JoAnn Staton to a rural area of Anderson County for a supposed jewelry transaction when he and Irving Ramirez allegedly beat the two to death as part of a robbery. Fulbright's trial started Monday, according to the 10th Judicial Circuit's docket and multiple media outlets, including WYFF 4.
Scott Robinson, a Greenville defense attorney, is representing Fulbright. Solicitor Chrissy Adams is prosecuting the case.
