Two Men Charged in Auto Break-Ins in Greer

Two men face charges in connection with a three-day auto break-in spree in Greer.

According to the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, Matthew John Geiger of Inman and Aaron Jeffrey Terry of Greer, both 21, are facing a total of 48 charges in connection to 12 auto break-ins in Greer.

Deputies said Geiger and Terry broke into cars on these dates and at the following locations:

Sept. 9, 2012

• 1 Chasie Lane, Greer
• 15 Chasie Lane, Greer
• 213 Josh Court, Greer

Sept. 10, 2012 –

• 24 Silver Knoll Court, Greer
• 19 Silver Knoll Court, Greer
• 400 N. Silver Ridge Drive, Greer
• 27 Silver Bleech Lane, Greer
• 31 Silver Knoll Court, Greer

Sept. 11, 2012 –

• 4 Mirramont Place, Greer
• 2 Mirramont Place, Greer
• 20 Bently Way, Greer
• 108 Royal Troon Court, Greer

Investigators said in eight of the 12 break-ins, Geiger and Terry stole items from the vehicles.

They are each charged with 12 counts of auto break-in, eight counts of petit larceny and four counts of conspiracy.

Geiger and Terry currently are being held at the Greenville County Detention Center. Geiger's bond has been set at $106,300. Terry's bond is set at $205,560.

Deputies said they are continuing to investigate other auto break-ins in the Bridgewater, Spaulding Farms, Sycamore Ridge, Caste Rock and Boulder Creek neighborhoods.
