Wade Hampton Firefighter Accused of Sexual Assault

Charles Holleman faces criminal sexual conduct charges for a September incident at the Holly Springs Fire Department.

A 31-year-old firefighter was still awaiting a bond hearing Tuesday afternoon at Spartanburg County Detention Facility after being arrested on a charge of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Multiple media outlets, including the Spartanburg Herald-Journal, have reported that Charles Holleman was arrested Tuesday for performing oral sex and other sexual acts on a female victim using coersion while at the Holly Springs Fire Department in Spartanburg County in September.

Chief Randy Edwards of the Wade Hampton Fire Department confirmed to Patch that Holleman began working for his department in December 2010, and that he was currently still employed there.
