Wade Hampton Plays In 4A Upper State Championship, Eastside's Fate Rests in TR Friday
The Generals play the Blythewood Bengals at 5 p.m. Friday at Blythewood. Travelers Rest will host Eastside at 6 p.m.

The Wade Hampton General are marching to the Upper State Championship game Friday night.
Senior hurler Barry Pyle pitched seven innings against the Dorman Cavaliers Thursday giving up only two runs in the first inning of the ball game.
Pyle also smacked a double to tie the game in the second inning.

Jackson Norrell of Wade Hampton was the only person with two hits for the game, knocking both a single and a double to help the Generals' cause.
Junior Jordan Ford singled and stole second. He went on to third on a ground ball before finally scoring the winning run when the catcher missed the ball.

KJ Bryant scored on a wild pitch, bringing the game to a close with a Generals win, 4-2.
Tyler "Moose" Thornton will pitch for the Generals Friday night in Columbia. Freshman pitcher Brandon Gibbs will be ready to go if needed.
Eastside stays alive after an elimination game against Greenville Thursday.
The Eagles beat the Red Raiders, 13-0.
The Eagles will face the Devildogs at 6 p.m. in Travelers Rest for a chance to become the 3A Upper State champions.
